Hello, I was born David Lee Campbell August 9,1966. I am inquiring because I was adopted in Bisbee AZ April 1968. I was born @ Josephine County Hospital to a Elaine Campbell and father unknown. I would like to know if any Campbells are still in the Grants Pass OR area. I have no bloodline or family heritage. Although I was adopted by a most wonderful family I have no idenity. I need to know if my birth mother is alive or if I have any brothers or sisters in the area. If anyone can assist me in my quest please eamil me ASAP.
Here is what I know, I was born David LEE Campbell, born AUgust 9,1966, appx 1006 am to a Elaine Campbell @ Josephine County hospital. How I got from Grants Pass to Bisbee AZ is still unknown. Hello Grants Pass!!! I enjoyed the guest book. It is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. We lived there for many years but it just can be very difficult to make a living and support a family. I wish that there were more opportunities for young people to be able to stay in town and not have to move away just to survive.

Hello Grants Pass, I Lived in Grants Pass From 1969 to 1988. Went to school at Jerome Prarie Elem, Lincoln Savage Were There was one teacher that was the best (Mrs Peggy Meyer). And then on to Hidden Valley High School Were I met alot of Great people, And also played sports. Graduated in 1981 then moved away in 1985. Now working for NASA, What a job. I visited Grants Pass for a few days in September (2000) and loved it. It is so beautiful throughout the entire area, and everyone was very nice. My son attends Rogue Community College there; I was very impressed with the RCC campus in Grants Pass. I would absolutely love to live in your area: it's not only beautiful, but the mountains and ocean are within a short drive away. We don't have such gorgeous and peaceful scenery here in southern Ohio! Thanks to all for making my visit so nice!! I'll be back!!

If you are planning to visit Grant's Pass, don't stay at the Riverside Inn. We had the worst experience of our life there. In 104 degree weather, they gave us a room with no air conditioning. When we requested another room, at first they acted surprised that the airconditioning didn't work, but later admitted that they already knew. They would not give us another river view room with air working because other people who hadn't arrived yet had "confirmed reservations". We had confirmed reservations too.
Their idea of customer service is a joke.
Do yourself a favor, and stay somewhere else!

I moved to Chicago a few weeks ago. It seems like no matter what area of the country I go to, someone knows someone in Grants Pass. Either they have been there or they know someone who has. Amazing! I've already met 3 people like that. I miss the area! Sure there's a lot to do here, but the people are so friendly in GP and the driving conditions are ten times better (traffic) even with all the construction.
When I have a family of my own, I believe Grants Pass will be a great place to raise my children. It's safe and friendly. A great place for families!
There are some really great churches there too...Jerome Prarie Bible Church, Applegate Christian Fellowship, etc. Remember the fruit is evidence of the root!

We went to school together up until then and were even on the annual staff at El Monte in 72. For those of you that want to know what some of the Grants Pass area looks like...WATCH the movie..."The River Wild" with Meryle Streep. They show some of the Beautiful Rogue River filmed in the Hellsgate Canyon and the Galice area, which is only about a 20-30 minute, pleasant drive from Grants Pass. And another movie that was filmed around the Rogue River, was "How The West Was Won! : ) Enjoy !

There's No Place Home... I lived in Grants Pass from 1964-1992. I went to 2 elem.schools in Merlin,Fleming Jr.High,& Grants Pass High. I had a son (Chris) in 1978. I work at several places in town over the years, one of them being...Alibi Tavern where I met Jim Short 8/90. He working for a business out of Arizona, installing the metal roofs on the newly built Lincoln & Redwood Elem. schools. In 92, Jim asked if my son and I would join him in california and be a family. In 1993 we were married and located in the Sacramento area. A day doesn't go by that I don't miss Grants Pass, my family & friends. Living in California makes you appreciate allthat Grants Pass has to offer. The beauty, it's charm and the valley that it's nestled in. I've been back for visits, but it's never enough. Hey, took a little looking but finally came across a halfway decent web page for Grants Pass. I went to Allendale Elementary from '76 7to '79 when I lived on Allenwood Drive, South Middle from '79 to '82, then good ol GPHS from '82 to '85 when I enlisted in the Navy. I am now a 1st Class Petty Officer stationed at Naval Air Station Oceana in Norfolk, VA and just went over 14 years time in service. I lost touch with many of you over the years and haven't been back to Grants Pass for almost 8 years. Boy, it seemed boring when I was living there but you kids who live there now enjoy it while you can, growing up in a town like that, I wouldn't have traded it for the world and miss it more and more every day. I visited my sister and her family for 5 days in May 2000. They live near Grants Pass on Grange Rd and I must say that your area of the country is the most beautiful i have ever seen. The people I met are the most friendly that I have encountered in my travels. I plan to return for a few days inthe fall to see the beautiful autumn colors.
The local folks are certainly lucky to live in such a wonderful place.

I visited Grants Pass for only 3 weeks it was so great. I was there in April 2000 and visited the Hidden Valley High School. It was so much fun there. The sudents there are all very friendly and the teachers, too. I was there every day at the German class by Mr.Brune he is a very good and nice German teacher and the sudents have very much fun there. So send your childrens to Mr. Brune into the German class. German is a very easy language to learn more easier then French. I think Grants Pass is very nice city. Things To Do In Grants Pass: 1) You could always sit and watch the skaters at the new imaginary skateboard park.2) You could always feed the ducks at the park.3)Cruise up 7th street and down 6th street, but watch out for construction!4)Go to the drive in for real cheap and see two great movies! oops they tore that out, sorry.5)Could always visit the historic Rogue Theater! oops , that closed too.6)Grants Pass seems to be building a lot of banks in town, you could take the entire family to visit one of those wonderful establishments.7)You could take the family to miniture golf,go cart racing,arcade and bumper boats. My family and I left Grants Pass in 1962 when I was to start the High School. We moved to Scottsdale, AZ. I went to Highland Elementary and then North Jr High. I want to move back in the worst way. I was a banker for over 20 years and a mortgage underwriter. My wife has many years in the the mortgage business and is now Escrow Branch Manager for a Title Company. We belong to an American Old Catholic Church. I do not know what the cost of living is like in Grants Pass now, but I would sure like to move there again. Are you still living there Charlie Williams?

My early childhood was spent growing up in Grants Pass. All my life this area has seemed to call out to my heart and I yearn to live there again. However, since my children and grandchildren are here in Florida, that probably will never become a reality for me...(frown). I was never able to make a trip back to Oregon until my children were grown and in 1991 my Mother and I spent 3 weeks there. We've been able to go back 3 times since then and dearly love it. Since I can't be there, please take care of our beautiful state and my home of Grants Pass. My heart and my thoughts are always with you.

Hi! my new friends and neighbors.Iam here in Grants Pass just about two weeks...words can not express nor describe the beauty of the land and the sincere kindness of the many decent people I've meet and spoken to.I've relocated here from Shelter Island,New York...my home since 1960.This small Island gives you a felling when your there...of a true American community.Being here in Grants Pass,I get that same felling.Our Founding Fathers said this land God gave to us.As a Vietnam Veteran who served our Country...Iam very grateful to call Grants Pass my home.

I have lived in Oregon since 1968 and in the Grants Pass area for 18 yrs. I have NEVER experienced such a "good ole boy" attitude exhibited by local officials as I have witnessed here. Local officals, including law enforcement are only exceeded in their ineffectiveness by a "untouchable" mentality by the majority of local leaderships, both in City and County governments. If you have a choice,..move to Medford.

Grants Pass is a Beautiful Place to live. I lived there since I was a little girl, then I moved to Washington in '91'. I miss it there a lot and think of it even more. I was also looking for my friends there. I haven't spoken to them since '96', When I drove threw there moving to North Carolina. My friend Lisa Tortola still lived in the same place on Elk Lane. My other friend I haven't seen for a long time visited me as well for the short time I was there. They are Jennifer, Jerica, Jeremy Lunsford. If these names ring a bell please let them know that I'm looking for them. Lisa has an older sister ( Debra ) as well as an older brother ( John ). I've tried looking them up in the white pages but can't seem to find them. I'll be moving back in the general area around spring or summer time. I can't wait :o) See ya when I get there :o)

In 1958 my family stopped in Grants Pass on vacation. I was 12 years old. I fell in love with the valley and told my parents, "I want to live here." This year my dream comes true after many, many visits. I have been fortunate enough to do some world travel but Grants Pass has a warmth, real people, a climate and so much more than anywhere else I've been! I'm going to be proud to say, "I live in Grants Pass"! Thank you to the people who have made me feel welcome.
