I lived in Grants Pass my whole childhood until I was in my late 20s. I had to move away to get a job that pays more than logging wich I did for about 10 years. I Miss all my friends in Grants Pass Very Much and wished I was there to hang out with you guys. All my friends at the Wonder Bur cafe and bar: Butch, D.J., Tom, Charlie, Wayne , Jeff, dennis, Wally and everyone else you can think of. Just dying to do the yearly tour de pub cruise through Grants pass. I have missed it for the last three years and I am sorry guys. I grew up in Grants Pass, from 1966 to 1975 when I left to live with my father in Calibasas, Ca. I went to Ft Vannoy, Manzanita elementary and Flemming Jr. high then on to GP high in my softmore year before I left for Ca. Hi. I visited Grant's Pass in the Spring of 1995 when I was on tour with the Continental Singers. I was a friend of Marlin Foster's. I know his parents (Eldon & Sandy? I was born in Grants Pass in 1974. Growing up in the G.P. area was an awesome experience, especially with all the river activities. I moved to Portland in 1998, but regulary visit my parents who live in Merlin. I love driving through the Galice area, and going on hikes along the Rogue River. It brings back so many memories of my childhood. It was a blast to introduce my husband the beauty of Hellsgate Canyon and the surrounding areas. I can't wait until my next visit.

I lived in Grants Pass from 1967 to 1979 and attended Lincoln Elementary and North Junior High until we moved to Beaverton after my sixth grade. I am trying to trace my grandmother who left England in 1946. We do not know how she left the UK but believe that she went to the USA after the war possibly running away with a US serviceman from a local base (Bungay in Suffolk). She has never been heard from since her departure. It is possible that she ran away with someone by the name of Holloway and a search of the SSDI shows a Catherine D Holloway with the same Date of Birth to have died in 1988 in Grants Pass. Ideally I'd like to find out more about this person if that is possible and wondered if anyone in Grant's Pass had any ideas that may help me?

I haven't been back since, but would like to do so soon. I graduated GPHS in '71, left the LB Hall Funeral Home where I lived as an adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hall (Lewis Earl) on the corner of 5th and C, and embarked on a life's course that has been filled with world journey, a change in every aspect of my personality, and a satisfaction of family and a son. I wish there was a way to get back there, but sentiment is not reality. Perhaps...someday, however.
