I visited Grants Pass in 1995, and for once in my life finally felt at home. I FINALLY made my husband vacation there with me in July '04, and he now agrees we have to move as soon as we can sell our home here (if we can, for enough $ to not be in the same situation in GP that we are here in NY!). The stress in NY is killing us. We love the weather and lack of allergies, the land and the people in GP. There does seem to be a lack of people our age (33-35), so w'd especially love to hear from those near our age group, although we are far from age- restrictive! We also had an EXCELLENT experience renting an apartment from "Where Angels Rest" for our stay rather than a hotel... so nice... we got the brochure from the Chamber of Commerce. I mention this because I almost never am more satisfied than expected, so I'd say check them out if you're visiting. I also would love opinions on whether this town needs a really good picture framer. (That was my impression while I was there, but I'd hate to open a business based on that!) All comments welcome...

Am looking for any descendants of Dorothy(nee Royallminns) and Thomas Brown. Dorothy was born 1899 and her parents had come to the US in 1892. Your area looks beautiful. Amazed at the housing prices but I guess climate does cost. The only thing I really know about Grants Pass is someone I use to love betrayed me and moved out there to live, so be on your toes and watch out ladies, he delivers a smooth line.

I don't know if you will put this on your page,but I would appriciate it.To start with I'm not from here and have found it to be quite interesting.Most of the people have treated me with respect,others have treated me like I was a plauge.Thats because I'm a felon.The reason I'm a felon is nobodies business.My references are top notch and I'm one of the best at what I do.But when I'm told by a 24 year old business owner,(that I have more exp and knowledge in his busi than he does) that I was lucky to find a job because I was a felon.Well what most of you people that think felons are a hendrance to your society should probably look around at yourselves and realize that you are no differnt than us,most of you just have'nt been caught,and you may never get caught but you have to live with yourselves with whatyou have done wrong.And beleive me karma does exsist.So the next timeyou want to put someone down because they have made trouble for themselves think of what trouble you might make for yourself being a hipocrit.

My husband and myself have just moved here from calif. we have only been here for 4 days. We had come up two weeks ago to look at homes, we got here on saturday night and by Sunday night we had a home. this took all but 2 weeks, I have never slept so good, it must be the climate!! we are so happy because all fell right into place and now my daughter and her family are looking to move here too , so we will beable to see our grandkids grow, and not have to see them for like only twice a year.

I WENT TO LINCON SAVAGE AND IF I STAYED I WOULD HAVE GONE TO HIDDEN VALLEY AND GRADUATED IN "84" BUT WE MOVED TO EUGENE. MY BROTHERS WENT TO HIDDEN VALLEY. DANNY & BOBBY DONNELLY.
